FC 27 editions and prices
EA sells three versions on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Last-generation copies of the Standard Edition run slightly cheaper in some regions.
Edition | USD | EUR | GBP |
|---|---|---|---|
Standard | $69.99 | €79.99 | £69.99 |
Ultimate | $99.99 | €109.99 | £99.99 |
Ultimate Plus | $149.99 | €159.99 | £139.99 |
The Standard Edition is the base game plus modest preorder extras: a 5-star youth scout for Career, three ICON or Hero loans and some cosmetics for The Grounds. Ultimate adds seven days of early access, 6,000 FC Points paid in three monthly drops, the Season 1 Premium Pass, an extra Evolution slot and a 5-star senior scout for Career.
Ultimate Plus stacks 10,000 FC Points across five drops, Premium Passes for Seasons 1 to 5, a Hall of FUT direct player pick (one of five cards) and a second extra Evolution slot. It was sold as an early-bird edition until 31 August, it is not sold on Nintendo platforms or the Epic Games Store, and EA has confirmed there is no upgrade path from Ultimate to Ultimate Plus.
Early access: how much it cost and what it covered
Early access cost the difference between Standard and Ultimate: $30 / £30. It covered the full game, not a trial, from 18 September. On PC the servers opened the evening before, at 23:00 UTC on 17 September, so European PC players started about half a day ahead of console players in their own time zone. That week is now over and everyone has the same version.
FC 27 ships on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC (EA App, Steam and Epic), Switch and Switch 2. The Grounds, the social mode with Clubs, only exists on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2. A PS4 copy upgrades to PS5 for free, and Xbox One to Series X|S likewise.
The Debut ICON
Preorders of Ultimate or Ultimate Plus placed by 31 August came with an untradeable Debut ICON, a random one of 18 players rated 85 or 86. The odds were not equal across the pool. The card upgrades itself automatically until 30 November 2026. The full pool and ratings are in our FC 27 new ICONs guide.
Was the Ultimate Edition worth it?
The $30 gap between Standard and Ultimate bought 6,000 FC Points, worth roughly $50 if purchased separately, plus a week of early access. If you were going to buy points anyway, Ultimate paid for itself. Ultimate Plus at $149.99 only made sense for someone playing Ultimate Team daily until spring: the extra $50 over Ultimate bought 4,000 more FC Points, four more Premium Passes and the Hall of FUT pick.
If you would rather add coins than points, 100k FC 27 coins costs from $9.89 on PC at FUTCOIN's FC 27 coins page (price checked on 20 October 2026).
